The cultivation of cherries has evolved significantly in recent years.
New varieties now allow for the production of visually appealing (dark-colored) and excellent-tasting fruits, as well as a larger average size than before.
The most common varieties on the market include: Samba, Korvick, Kordia, Sylvia, Kordia, Lapins, Skeena, Regina, and Sweetheart, listed in order of harvest. Harvesting takes place over approximately 6 weeks, depending on weather conditions. Some of the producers we work with are starting to equip themselves with rain protection, which allows us to guarantee availability and quality even in bad weather.
